tips for dying #3: be a charmer

My dad is charming the pants off the hospice staff.  On Day 1 at home all he does is sleep, look out the window at his blueberry bush, and crack jokes at every opportunity.  When our RN, Joey, found out he was half Filipino, she started talking about lumpia, panzit, and torte.  Next thing you know, dad got her laughing, and now she is promising to bring Filipino food.
