Dashing between scheduled and unscheduled vacations:

Returned from our trip to Southern California to see UC Irvine and UC San Diego.  On the way we stopped at San Clemente and the La Costa Resort for a few days of surf scouting.  Stayed at the Beachcomber Motel which was classically fun (although the rug was a tad damp all the time) and enjoyed the wallop of the big waves after the 5.6 earthquake in Tecate Mexico.  Tsunami?
